The Operations Manager will assist the Chief Executive in the development, implementation and management of operational projects on behalf of MyMiltonKeynes Business Improvement District.

Key responsibilities will include:

Taking management responsibility for all operational aspects of the organisation to deliver the 2017/22 business plan.

  • The overall operational management and control of projects relating to Public Realm, Public safety, MyApp Shuttle Bus and BID Events including MyCinema, Christmas Lights and Light switch on and other events as developed to .
  • Proactive business engagement to support key themes.
  • The introduction of business engagement in environmental sustainability and identify alternative funding streams to support initiatives
  • Reviewing and monitoring baseline services with Milton Keynes City Council and external operational suppliers.
  • Formulating strategies to address crime and anti-social behaviour issues in the BID area
  • Overseeing projects according to specific KPI's set out by the Board and advisory group.
  • Effectively collaborating and working with private and public sector organisations to facilitate the delivery of joint initiatives.
  • Engaging directly with business levy payers, supporting, and working with them and partners on a day-to-day basis to resolve issues.
  • Managing and assessing performance of operational staff (Landscaping, Bus drivers, Ambassadors and Police.
  • Managing supplier contracts and performance assessment of contractors' work.
  • Strategic planning to build on current projects, to bring return on investment to levy paying customers and creative thinking to develop new projects in line with business needs.
  • Working with the Marketing and Communications team to help communicate MyMiltonKeynes activities and projects to BID members and relevant stakeholders.
