Primary - 1:1 Teaching Assistant Downs Syndrome Experience preferred

LTA / Reed Education are seeking a Teaching Assistant to help provide 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with Downs Syndrome at a Primary School in the Preston area. The role is full time covering 5 days per week from 8:45-15:30. This new role is a temporary position , starting in September for the duration of the academic year.

The candidate must have a Level 1 Teaching Assistant(TA1) qualification (or equivalent). Experience as a TA for children with Downs Syndrome is an advantage.

Within this role, your main responsibilities will be:

•Monitoring targets for future progress

•Establishing and developing strong relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, and carers

•Have a clear understanding of all the needs of all pupils

•Monitoring pupils progress in reference with the school's practice

•Excellent behaviour management skills
