Job Title: Business Development Advisor - Apprenticeship Sales - Building/Contsruction Sector
Salary: Up to GBP26,000 per annum

The Growth Company has an excellent opportunity for a Business Advisor to generate and account manage a caseload of Greater Manchester (and North West) employers in order to promote and increase the take-up of GC service. The vacancy involves weekly and monthly targets for cold calls, sales meetings, business accruing (WBL starts, placements etc.) with the aim to help people of all ages (including the unemployed) seek employment and training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Look after and agree upon Sales targets by present, promoting and sell appropriate products/services in line with the wider Growth Company strategy.
- Demonstrate creative thinking by continually creating and refreshing an extensive caseload of businesses that enable individual, company and contracts targets to be met in line with GC quality requirements.
- Proactively carry out sales activity including cold calling, telesales and structured e-marketing and digital campaigns to employers and candidates to promote services.
- Develop and maintain excellent account management relationships with customers that result in the take up of services, repeat business, up-selling and cross-selling.
- Manager Projects regarding raining and Attend networking events and learner recruitment events.
- Provide a highly efficient and customer focused recruitment and placement service, including managing speculative and/or coordinated submissions to employers.
- Oversee the management of vacancies so that they are filled quickly and effectively and to employer's satisfaction, this also includes promoting a portfolio of students/candidates in order to generate placement, vacancy and Apprenticeship opportunities.
- Quality Control: Update company MI systems and ensure learners are appropriately placed in line with their skills sets, employers' requirements and the requirements of the ESFA and GC quality targets.
- Lead by example, communicate effectively and accept personal responsibility.
- Identify opportunities for own development and maintain own knowledge of contract/policy developments.
About You:
- You have the ability to communicate and motivate young people and employers and to influence and build relationships.
- You are knowledge of the work-based learning route including Apprenticeship frameworks, NVQ's and their processes.
- You are aware of the business support services across Greater Manchester and have sound knowledge of funding requirements such as ESFA, ESF and others.
- You have excellent end-to-end recruitment skills and can thrive in a target-driven environment.
Requirements:
- A minimum of two years sales and employer engagement experience.
- Knowledge/experience of Building/Contsruction Sector.
- Proven business diagnostic skills.
- Outstanding selling and presentation skills.
- Experience delivery or selling of skills training provision and/or recruitment services.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- IT skills, e.g. use of Microsoft Office suite (word, excel, power point and outlook).
