This position can offer a level 1 IT Analyst / 1st Line support analyst the opportunity to join an International market leading organisation in Huddersfield on a permanent basis.

Reporting to, and supported by the Group ICT Manager the primary focus of this role will be to provide 1st line IT support for both current and new systems and to assist with the updating of existing Hardware and Software to agree standards, supporting circa 500 users. The position offers training and personal development opportunities including MCP qualifications.

Days based position Monday to Friday, e.g. 9am to 5pm, NO out of hours work, NO call out

Responsibilities of the It analyst / 1st line support

ICT - Support, maintenance, training & security
Provision of technical and user support to staff having ICT issues
Assist in the implementation of various ICT projects
Deploy end user devices and associated peripherals including new installations, upgrades and the redeployment of existing equipment, including maintenance of ICT stock
Provide and maintain updates to the IT infrastructure and end user devices
Install and configure operating systems and software to agreed standards
Ensure the relevant security is implemented and all associated security protocols are followed and maintained
Maintain accurate digital records relating to all work carried out and produce relevant documentation where appropriate

Knowledge and experience of the IT Analyst / 1st line support

Experience:

Exposure / Interest of working in an ICT support environment
Exposure / Interest of supporting end user in ICT skills
Exposure / Interest of ICT project support and rollout
Exposure / Interest of ICT systems, and troubleshooting techniquesKnowledge and Skills

Some knowledge of ICT support operations - user accounts, active directory, network, switching, routing, end user device configuration and backups
Some knowledge of MS Operating systems including Windows Professional 10 & Server 2016 and above
