History Teacher

Strategy Education are delighted to be working with a good secondary school in Essex who are looking to appoint a Teacher of History for the new academic year. The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject and will work to continue to support the school in raising standards across the Sixth form and in particular, within the History department. History is the most popular subject at 6th form with over one third of students following the programme of student. Students follow the main functional areas of History before developing an understanding of History in a wider context.

The appointment will initially be on a temporary basis and newly qualified as well as experienced teachers are encouraged to apply. Due to the content of the curriculum candidates with a secondary or post compulsory qualification are encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will be subject to a variety of checks including, eligibility to work in the UK an enhanced DBS and full references including one from your most recent teaching placement.
