GAP are seeking an Assistant Stores Manager to join our team based out of our head office in Blackburn.
The primary function of the role is to manage a small team of stores operatives, with direct responsibility for manufacturing stock. This is a hand's on roll that requires flexibility in both attitude and working hours
Key Responsibilities:
To meet key performance targets as set by Stock management team manager (these will include ordering of stock, stock levels, monitoring stock shortages)
Accurately ordering and booking-in of orders
Providing support (and cover) for team members as required
Ensure Health and Safety standards are maintained by staff at all times
Manage staff time keeping and attendance
Hiring of staff (including disciplinary issues), control of staff training and record keeping
Audits of all store's workplaces
Any AD hoc duties as reasonably required
Qualifications, Requirements, and Skills
Minimum of 2 years stores experience within a similar manufacturing environment including proven management skills.
Good computer literacy and understanding of WMS.
Good understanding of stores disciplines/ Health & safety standards
Ability to work across several warehouses and stores areas, use various FLT's and be used to manual handling
FLT/Combi licence preferred (but must be prepared to learn)
Full and clean driver's license
