The Company:
My client are a leading supplier of Protective packaging products
The Role:
• Manage and control the production scheduling ensuring that the production schedule is cost effective
• Managing customer lead times ensuring orders are scheduled and delivered on time
• Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed
• Liaising with internal departments to discuss setbacks in time or processes; ensuring collaboration between different staff in different departments
• Responsible for scheduling planned maintenance downtime for all machines
• Selecting, scheduling and liaising with purchasing department for all material call off
• Managing & overseeing selected milestones ensuring completion ready for production
• Oversee and execute stock and demand replenishment providing feedback to the supply chain on risks regarding replenishment levels and demand.
Skills and Competencies:
• Previous experience within corrugated industry, die cutting & CAD design (Beneficial not essential)
• Ability to communicate and work well within a team
• Show a proactive approach in the work environment
• Excellent time management and negotiation skills
• Competent with Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of Management Information Systems
• Ability to use own initiative and be proactive
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment; ideally packaging and print
