The Hare & Hounds is one of two pubs run as a family business who pride themselves in providing great pub food and excellent customer service. This is a great opportunity to be involved in and learn how to prepare, cook and present great food for their customers.

Brief Job Description

We are looking for someone who has a keen interest in the hospitality industry and who wants to learn new skills as a Junior Sous Chef and to progress in a fast growing business.

Main duties will be:

Learn to prepare, cook and present great food for our customers

Take control our our daily specials board and bring new ideas

Play your part in maintaining high standards

Get involved with new menu development

Develop new skills in kitchen management, health & safety and food hygiene

Future Prospects

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship this could lead to a permanent full time role.

Working Week and Wage

Being in hospitality the hours are flextible and varied with the role being between 30-40 hours per week on a rota basis, this will include some weekend and evening work.

Calculated on maximum 40 hour week = GBP200

Things to Consider

This role need someone who is flexible and willing to work some weekends and some later nights
