As a result of structured expansion a fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Logistics Manager
Summary:
As Logistics Manager, you will schedule all inbound / outbound shipments, provide leadership to the warehouse team in both goods inwards and shipping. Strive to keep cost down from transport companies. Responsibility for prioritizing tasks to meet expected shipping dates and maintaining accurate inventory.
Duties:
* Manage and keep accurate inventory of warehouse materials
* Schedule and track in bound and outgoing shipments
* Negotiate with carriers for rates and services required to delivery our products into the marketplace
* Train and develop the warehouse personnel
* Liaise with customer service and sales when shipments are ready to leave site.
* Liaise with freight companies and customs agents for inbound and outbound shipments.
* Ensure materials are available and delivered to sites in a timely manner as per clients.
* Work closely with procurement to ensure a good supply chain is in place.
* Cross boarder shipment between countries serviced by warehouse in other countries.
Requirements:
* Four-year College/ Uni Degree in Business management or related field.
* 2 to 5year experience in Warehouse Management or Logistics
* Working knowledge and understanding of Export requirements (Brexit and ROW)
* Demonstrates excellent communication skills, team player, results oriented in a fast-paced environment
* Customer Service interface desired
* Intermediate to Advanced PC skills (spreadsheet, word processing, Oracle ERP would be a bonus
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
