CAD Design Engineer

Are you interested in joining a growing global manufacturing organisation? Have you got experience working in CAD and Solidworks drawing skills? Origin Global is currently looking for a Technical Writer with a passion for Technical Writing.

This is an exciting opportunity which has arisen, and the successful candidate will be directly involved in the formalising and upkeep of our industry leading product specifications, manuals, and technical literature. Your ability to understand technical drawings and apply analytical thinking will be valuable to this role as well as having a natural ability to explain technical topics to non-technical co-workers.

What you will be doing:

• Review, scope and deliver updated professional specifications for the existing product range.
• Develop comprehensive documentation for new products.
• Proactively build and maintain a deep understanding of products and Origin specific services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content.
• Write and draw user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience, turning insights language that sets our users up for success.
• Develop and maintain detailed digital copies of appropriate reference materials, including bills of materials, fabrication specifications, CNC prep files and install guides.
• Maintain an effective and logical repository for all technical information within the current PDM file structure.
• Evaluate current content and take ownership of the role in providing innovative approaches for improvement.

Who you are:

• Degree in design, engineering, sciences or equivalent
• Have excellent organisation skills, troubleshooting, problem-solving abilities and abilities to prioritise a changing workload
• Strong communication skills and accurate written English
• Experience in technical writing from a similar design led industry
