Sphere Solutions are looking to recruit an experienced Commercial professional. With an impressive programme of works and client base, this award winning regional contractor is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an experienced commercial team.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in assisting with the commercial entities of new build projects up to GBP12m. With sites across Cornwall and an extensive client based; covering commercial, industrial, extra care and education schemes, this is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified candidate to join a forward -thinking team of like- minded professionals.
The Role
* Financially manage new build schemes - overseeing sub-contractor procurement and payments up to GBP12m in value
* Ensure financial reporting is carried out - i.e. commercial reporting, cash forecast
* Prepare site budgets, expenditure, along with site measurements
* Assist the MQS with contractual and commercial advice
* Manage for all pre-contract sub contractor procurement
* Manage / assist with junior members of the team
Suitable candidate / Qualifications
* Committed and highly motivated
* Qualified to degree level or HND/HNC
* Must have a full working knowledge of NEC, JCT, D&B contracts
* CSCS card
* Recent construction / build experience, preferably with regional or main contracting, project values in excess of GBP10m
* Good working knowledge of procurement practices and forms of main and subcontract agreements
* Reside within a commutable distance to Cornwall
* Full driving license
