A la Carte Recruitment is recruiting for a Trainee Butcher at one of our client's high-tech food manufacturing facilities. The location of this site is near Leicester City Centre (LE1). The work you would be doing is varied and interesting. Food produced on this site is as follows: sausages, pate, cooked meats, etc. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with all types of meat products (beef, pork, chicken, lamb, fish, shellfish, etc.)
As a Trainee Butcher, previous experience would be preferable, however not mandatory. Willingness to learn and a capability of working at a quick pace would go a long way. Full training will be provided. The shift duration does vary. It WILL NOT be only an 8 hour shift. Flexibility with regards to working hours is a must. Own transport would be preferable.
Each shift duration will vary and the patterns are as follows:
Morning: 6am start (8-12 hour shift) finish between 2pm to 6pm
Afternoon: 2pm start (8-12 hour shift) finish between 10pm to 2am
Nights: 6pm to 10pm start (8 - 12 hour shift) finish at 6am
The current pay rate is set at:
Morning: GBP9.06
Afternoon: GBP9.06
Nights: GBP9.29
