Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic

We have an excellent opportunity available for a motivated Vehicle Technician to join our team at Ashley MOT & Service Centre.We are a well-established family run M.O.T & Vehicle Repair Centre with a fantastic reputation, we are actively seeking to employ a car Mechanic/Vehicle Technician for our busy workshop in Walton on Thames.

The successful applicant will be working in a team of highly skilled car mechanics/Vehicle Technicians and we would be looking for someone who is versatile. We carry out vehicle services, maintenance, repairs and diagnostic trouble shooting for all makes and models of vehicles which would be essential for this role. We require a person with attention to detail to carry out quality repairs, You will also ensure that you deliver a very high standard of workmanship along with outstanding customer service.

About you

You must be a qualified Vehicle Technician with a formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent qualification).

Ideally, you will have the ability to work within given time scales and the ability to tackle all aspects of vehicle repairs and servicing. Diagnostic skills and experience in problem-solving are not essential but are desirable.

Full UK drivers licence and own tools required. Specialist tools will be supplied.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Inspections
• General Servicing
• Correction/repair of vehicle defects
• Completion of all required paperwork
• Diagnostic/trouble shooting (essential)
• All vehicle repairs related duties

Working Hours

Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm

Occasional Saturdays 8.00 am to 2.00pm (overtime paid)
