Learning and Development Manager to design, deliver and implement training across the organisation.

Candidates must be based in the North East.

Your new company
I am supporting a growing client with multiple sites across the UK who is looking to recruit for an Learning & Development Manager to join their Newcastle hub to drive the L&D function for the across the Northern region. My client is wanting to invest in an experience looking to recruit an experienced Learning and Development Manager with strong project planning and organisational skills.

Within this role you will work closely with the organisations HR function and have an L&D Assistant and potential Advisor working within the team to support you. As the Learning & Development Manager you will be responsible for all areas of the L&D function developing training and specific programmes and driving the apprenticeship schemes across all business functions.

Your new role
Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the apprenticeship and graduate programmes
  • Reviewing, developing and tailoring the programmes to ensure employees have a good learning experience Oversee and continually develop all aspects of learning and development, including needs analysis, training design, delivery and evaluation.
  • Design and deliver workshops and training through the organisations new 'academy' face to face and virtual learning
  • Working closely with external training providers and collaborating with the providers to design and deliver new training while monitoring and evaluating the progress of existing learners
  • Work in collaboration with colleagues on a variety of projects e.g such as designing and implementing training to support new initiatives and supporting on the talent strategy agenda
  • Work with the L&D team to develop new e-learning courses on the online hub to offer various training and courses to all employees
  • Support managers with individual development plans to improve capability, skill-building and support succession planning across the business.


What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful applicant within this process you must be able to demonstrate experience in the following;

  • Good stakeholder management
  • Experience working with external training providers
  • Ability to deliver training face to face and virtually Significant experience of managing apprenticeships Ability to successfully manage projects from start to finish
  • Experience of developing engaging e-learning content and courses
  • Excellent communicator
  • Ability to identify and deliver learning and development needs
  • Have a business-focused approach to learning and development
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
