Evolve East Anglia CIC is a well-respected non-for-profit organisation that works with adults effected by mental illness and mental health disorders. Evolve applies a person-centred approach, within a psychologically informed environment (PIE). This means our work with service users is based on an understanding of their psychological formulation and needs.

Responsibilities for the Mental Health Support Worker:

Work directly with a range of vulnerable service users and their families, some of whom have significant mental health difficulties
Support service users with issues such as housing, maintaining mental health & wellbeing, accessing universal services and community resources
Work closely with service users according to the aims and objectives of an individual support plans
Support both our supported living schemes and our service users living in their own accommodation (outreach support)
Ensure that service users are fully involved in the planning of support work
Maintain accurate case records
Ensure children, young people and vulnerable adults are safeguarded from harm

Person Specification:

Proven experience of working with vulnerable people in a supportive role
Able to confidently support individuals that have significant mental health difficulties
Good understanding of safeguarding frameworks for children, young people and adults
You will ideally have an applicable qualification
Knowledge of mental health legislation
A friendly, professional and supportive approach
Able to communicate clearly, sensitively and effectively with vulnerable individuals, professionals and colleagues
Able to stay calm under pressure

Terms of Role:

Full Time, Permanent, 37.5 hours a week (part time and job share applications will be considered).
Pay is GBP19,500 - GBP29,500 DOE.
Some unsociable hours required including evenings, weekends and sleep ins. Sleep ins are paid on top of your contracted hours. Overtime is not normally paid for additional hours as we operate a flexible working system.
