Working in the Applications Support Team with responsibility for supporting and delivering a range of business applications and bespoke solutions, you will possess proven support skills and knowledge in managing local government line of business software. Customer care and interpersonal skills will be at the centre of what you do, working collaboratively with the rest of the IT Services teams to ensure critical systems are always available, fully maintained and with capacity for new services to be added.

You will be one of the main support resources for our Northgate Housing and Northgate Revenues and Benefits systems, with shared responsibility for other systems within our portfolio, such as CivicaPay and IDOX Uniform.

You will have proven experience of delivering projects within a complex hardware, database and software structure and to tight deadlines. A good knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure, networking technologies, platforms and operating systems, storage systems and communication systems, is essential.

This is an interesting role within a key internal support service at Norwich City Council.
