Role Purpose
To contribute to the smooth running of the Finance Department and handle credit control function at the Taunton site.
Principal Accountabilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Invoicing
* Cash posting
* Chasing outstanding amount via phone or emails and securing payment dates
* Sending statements
* Posting other bank transactions
* Responding to calls and emails from within the business and by clients
* Bank reconciliations
* Weekly reporting of accounts receivable to Finance Manager
* Other ad hoc office duties
Skills / Knowledge
* Experience working with ERP systems
* Experience in handling multi company accounts
* Handle high volume (approx. 400 customers)
* Knowledge of Rebates and promotions
* Liaising with other departments such as but not limited to the sales team for invoice queries and pricing
* Food service is an added advantage
Person Specification
* Good communication skills both verbal and written
* Logical and Analytical
* Able to work to deadlines
* Ability to work on own set tasks without ongoing direction
Additional Skills
Intermediate Excel knowledge
Working Relationships
Daily contact with site management and finance teams in other sites
