Steelwork Draughtsperson
Our client is a steelwork fabricator based in Devon. They now seek an additional steelwork draughtsperson to work in their busy drawing office. The company design, fabricate and erect a wide and varied range of steelwork, including structural, secondary and architectural steelwork as well as some material handling supporting steelwork.
Steelwork draughtsperson / detailer.
Candidate
* Must have a minimum of 4 years experience detailing steelwork, working within a steelwork fabrication business or similar engineering environment.
* Tekla experience is preferred with candidates of all levels of experience in using Tekla considered
* However, exceptional candidates with a proven track record of detailing steelwork on other 3D software systems or AutoCad may be considered with full Tekla training provided.
* Any experience of the materials handling industry would be advantageous but by no means essential.
* The ability to work alone and within the drawing office team.
* Excellent communication skills are required to liaise with internal departments and external parties such as architects and engineers.
Role
* To be able to read architects and engineers drawing to enable production of the Tekla 3D model. Raise R.F.I.'s as required.
* Provide all detail fabrication and fitting drawings for issue to the workshop from the Tekla model, complete with all relevant lists and CAM data as required.
* Provide arrangement drawings and erection drawings for issue to site.
The company offer a very good salary in line with experience. Further training if required as well as very good career prospects are available, set within a pleasant working environment.
This is a full time permanent PAYE position and open only to candidates who are currently eligible to work in the UK. Candidates requiring a work permit / visa / sponsorship will not be considered.
