As an organisation we are recruiting for a number of Employability contracts to support the unemployment back to work. This job will play a key role in contributing to the UK's economic recovery, 'Restart' which is a cornerstone of the Governments 'Plan for Jobs' strategy and the existing expansion to the existing Work and Health Programme (WHP_JETS).
The role will be supporting individuals who have been in long- term unemployment or those affected because of the devastating economic impact of Covid-19. We will address the barriers to gaining new employment with tailored support for each individual to achieve and sustain good work, including supported job search, re-training for a different sector and restoring self-confidence for work.
You will provide motivational support to build positive relationships, guide, inspire, challenge, encourage and help individuals obtain sustainable employment.
Join our team as a Wellbeing Coach. You will support with the Health and Wellbeing Strategy across the UK employability and Health sector. To develop a holistic health and employment approach, progressing customers on The Restart contract closer to the labour market and into sustainable employment. To integrate into Operations and increase performance with our customers.
Our ideal candidate will have experience of supporting a caseload of customers using effective action planning techniques to educate and advise on health and well-being conditions in order to enable a return to sustainable employment. Deliver a range of health specific programmes within scope of practice to support customers with their health management including Managing Anxiety, Stress Management, Pain Management, Back & Neck Care and various weekly classes eg Relaxation, Exercise Classes.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform health specific assessments with customers to identify health challenges around finding, starting and sustaining suitable employment.
* Provide specialist health support through a blend of group work, digital/ virtual, tutor groups and 1:1 coaching.
* Support in the development of a range of standardised training and support materials for non-healthcare trained employees to raise awareness and improve the employee knowledge base.
* Identify and build key relationships with internal delivery teams across the entire employability pillar and external stakeholders to support an individual's progression.
* Observe and adhere to our customer service standards so that all customers are provided with the same high standard of service that maximises their chances of securing sustainable employment.
* Keep concise records of interactions with all customers on our internal customer management system in an accurate and compliant manner.
* Seek to actively engage communities in making sense of the issues which affect their lives.
Skills and Experience
Essential
* Proven experience of working in health promotion or public health
* Supported those with health issues back to work/ vocational rehabilitation / occupation health.
* Supported individuals with physical and mental health difficulties in a customer facing environment.
* Presented and delivered health or wellbeing related group interventions, facilitating workshops or training sessions through digital technology.
Desirable
* Desirable a qualified health professional registered with Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), or British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP)
* Experience of working with people in the provision of 'information, advice & guidance'
* Full driving licence
Additional Information
Salary: GBP25,339 - GBP27,106 per annum (dependent on experience)
Location: Launceston
Hours: 37 hrs (full time) 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday - Thursday, 8.30am - 4.30pm Friday
Closing Date: 16 March 2022 (Rolling campaign due to high volume of activity)
