Reporting to the artistic director (AD), you will play a key role in the creative function of enact solutions, helping to design and deliver our high quality, innovative drama-based training programmes and presentations. A Creative Administrator supports the AD and AAD.

key skills

  • Experience in drama based learning

  • Proven track record in designing, developing and delivering drama based workshops

  • A background in drama based studies

  • Ability to manage your own workload and meet targets

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team

  • Fantastic communication skills

  • Experience in using virtual communication platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams

  • Good knowledge of IT, especially Microsoft programmes such as Powerpoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Acting or facilitating background

  • Knowledge of Inclusion and Diversity

the role

  • Alongside the AD, consider programming; what is going to be developed ‘in-house’, and when this can’t happen, which external free-lancer might take on which development project

  • Management of the ‘Touring Diary’ and company diary to ensure everyone knows what confirmed jobs are being delivered, when and by whom

  • Liaison with customers for creative meetings, face-to-face or virtually, to fully understand the needs, pre-requisites, and aims of any given project

  • Produce project outlines and scripts to meet the customer’s aims. Design and develop scripts and workshops.

  • Research current learning and development trends to ensure project contents are up to date

  • Design and develop AV/ PowerPoints for workshops and/or work with external freelancers to support the development of PowerPoint presentations

  • Where suitable deliver corporate L&D training programmes or Education presentations either as an actor or facilitator

  • Identify potential new talent- actors and facilitators sometimes by holding auditions locally and nationally

  • Decide on Casting parameters and liaise with Creative Administrator to contract actors and facilitators for projects

  • Liaise with actors prior to their arrival with regards to scripts etc.

  • Lead corporate actor/ facilitator training days

  • Specify set, props, costume, technical and sound equipment, PowerPoint presentation, required ready for rehearsal start date and inform Creative Assistant

  • Share responsibility to deliver induction, pre tour briefings and welcome back catch up to actors

  • Devise rehearsal schedules to assist the rehearsal process and direct acting groups in rehearsal

  • Visit shows when on tour to ensure quality control of delivery

where is it based?

Although our office is based in Holmfirth nr Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, you will be able to work from home much of the time, but frequent trips into the office will be necessary.

rate of pay

£23k p.a. (pro rated if working less than 37hrs p w)

Full time - 37 hrs per week over Mon-Fri (but could be flexible and offer less hours for right candidate)
