Reporting to the artistic director (AD) and assistant artistic director (AAD), you will play a key role in the creative function of enact solutions which helps design and deliver our high quality, innovative drama-based training programmes and presentations.

Key Skills

  • Confident IT user and especially competent user of Microsoft Office - such as Powerpoint, Word, Excel and Outlook. You must have used this software extensively and recently ideally in a workplace.

  • Have good interpersonal skills and work as part of a team.

  • Have good planning and organisational skills

  • Be confident and happy to extensively make and take phone calls.

Familiarity with but not essential:

  • an understanding of drama studies, creative arts

  • experience in using virtual communication platforms such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

  • an understanding of Learning and Development and / or theatre in Education


the role

These will include, but are not limited to:

  • Keeping up to date the ‘Touring Diary’ and company diary

  • Assist with the Design and develop AV/ PowerPoints for workshops

  • Help with media tasks such as taking and editing video content

  • Help with creation of training platform set-up such as in Zoom, Microsoft Teams etc. Adding in polling questions etc

  • Advertise for and help identify potential talent including organising auditions locally and nationally

  • Cast (with direction from AD/AAD) and contract actors and facilitators

  • Liaise with actors prior to their arrival; travel logistics, accommodation, policies, scripts, costume requirements, right to work evidence etc.

  • Overhaul and update our actor database (with support) and populate with diverse range of talent

  • Prepare the set, props, costume, technical and sound equipment, PowerPoint presentation, ready for rehearsal start date.

  • Shared responsibility to deliver induction and welcome actors back from tours, debrief, and check equipment/ vans back in

  • Create a schedule for equipment; sign out / sign in catalogue system

  • Manage the technical cupboard, and props and costumes

where is the job based?

Although our office is based in Holmfirth near Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, you will be able to work from home much of the time, but frequent trips into the office will be necessary.

rate of pay

£12 per hour.

Part time flexible hours 16-20 hrs per week.
