RSR Police are currently recruiting for an Investigator to work within the Major Crime Team. The role is based in Southampton initially on a 6 month contract. To be considered you will need be a former Detective who is PIP 2 accredited or equivalent.
Role
* Act as Investigating Officer within a Major Incident Room, investigating allocated 'actions' as required and gathering evidence to the required standards in support of prosecution cases
* Obtain statements from witnesses including police officers, professional and expert witnesses, ensuring that statements are accurate in detail and submitted into the MIR
* Interview witnesses to obtain detailed witness accounts or comprehensive witness statements
* Identifying and maximising all of the available evidence ensuring statements are legible and comply with guidelines.
* Secure and preserve the continuity of evidence and exhibits
* Case file preparation.
* Submission and the management of cases throughout the prosecution process.
