Our client is an employer of choice. They have an exciting opportunity for a Psychology and Behaviour Advisor to work with their staff and clinical multidisciplinary teams across all the residential and educational services.

The successful applicant will work under supervision from the Consultant Clinical Psychologist and with line management from the Senior Behaviour Co-ordinator and contribute to the ongoing care and education of Service Users. The role will involve:-

  • undertaking psychological assessment and psychological interventions under the supervision and guidance of senior clinical colleagues.
  • Undertaking functional assessment and analysis of challenging behaviours and use of findings to inform positive behaviour support plans and risk assessment.
  • implementing and monitoring the implementation of positive behaviour support plans
  • producing written reports and summaries of work as required.
  • contributing to MDT meetings and carrying out observations in situ as required.
  • delivery of training as required.

The successful applicant will hold a degree level qualification in Psychology (or equivalent) and a Professional Diploma in Positive Behaviour Support (or willingness to work towards within 12 months).They will also have experience of working in the field of learning difficulties (within residential settings would be desirable) and a positive can do attitude and be able to build constructive working relationships with colleagues across their services.
