Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Location: Lurgan
Job Overview
As the successful Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for the preparation of monthly accounts and weekly KPI reports working to a detailed timetable.
Key Accountabilities
- Statistical data capture and KPI analysis
- Use of systems for analysis/investigative work
- Assist in the preparation of weekly profit and loss statements
- Assist in preparation of monthly accounts
- Bank reconciliations
- Insurance Claims Monies owed
- As part of a team, to be responsible for processing supplier invoices
- Provide accounting assistance to all departments in the organisation
- Reconciliation of weekly invoices received to a tight deadline
- Dealing with any subsequent customer queries
- Ad hoc duties as required
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Attention to detail/accuracy
- Ideally have experience on Accounts and Accounting software packages
- Be confident dealing with people on the telephone
- Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Flexible and methodical approach to work/training/working hours
- Conscientious and reliable
- Flexible attitude
- Strong communication skills in order to deliver accurate information
- The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
- Effectively prioritise workload in order to meet set deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team or individually
- Ability to work effectively and communicate to the correct level
- Have knowledge of logistics operations
- Be professional, approachable and helpful to ensure smooth running of the general operation
