JOB TITLE: Customer Liaison & Communications Officer

LOCATION: Based on outskirts of Exeter but part site based covering Devon and Cornwall

SALARY: GBP27,000 - GBP30,000 PA DOE

HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm - Hours could be flexible for the right candidate

THE ROLE: This is a unique opportunity to secure a senior customer based role where you will be based 50/50 in the office and out on site. You will be working alongside project managers fully focused on the customer experience .This role will require the proactive management of customers, methodical data input, maintaining accurate records of discussions and correspondence with customers, and all associated paperwork. You will be travelling to the customer site to talk through the plans, access implications, schedule of works and alongside the project manager answering the customers questions and ensuring they are clear of plans.

As a key communicator within the business, you will also be instrumental in enhancing internal & external communications, creating business case studies & the coaching and mentoring of other team members to ensure a 1st class customer & stakeholder service experience continues to be provided.

KEY SKILLS:

  • Communication skills that allow you to inform, help and advise Customers & Stakeholders clearly and to liaise effectively.
  • IT skills - To be able to use CRM tools and Microsoft office packages.
  • Ability to analyse statistics/data to determine levels of customer service.
  • Listening skills, to understand exactly what customers & Stakeholders require;
  • problem-solving skills;
  • Confidence, patience, politeness, tact and diplomacy, when dealing with difficult situations.
  • Motivational skills and an ability to work as a pivotal role within a team.
  • Creative thinking, to be able to come up with new ideas to improve communication standards.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

Ideally you will have worked within utilities ,engineering, construction, manufacturing in a customer based role , however full consideration will be given for anyone who has been influential in previous roles associated with delivering a 1st class communications & customer service experience. Specific Training & ongoing personal development will be provided to support you in a unique and exciting role in a well-established forward-thinking business.
