DISTRIBUTION RESOURCE PLANNER
STAFFORD, STAFFORDSHIRE
MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY
Monday - Thursday (8:00am - 5:00pm) / Friday - 8:00am - 1:00pm
GBP26,000 - GBP28,500 per annum + Pension Scheme + 33 Days Holiday
A very well-established, highly successful and growing Manufacturing business has a requirement for a Distribution Resource Planner to join their team.
This position will appeal to a professional resource planner who has experience within a high-speed manufacturing or logistics environment.
Role Description
*Transport booking and organisation of shipments.
*Carry out item creation and maintenance in legacy system and item extension support in SAP.
*Support the distribution requirements planning process including item extension and drop procedures.
*Prevent and manage slow moving and obsolete inventory. Supply monthly analysis.
*Coordinate order changes and ensure alignment of SAP.
*Recommend stocking and replenishment quantities and align with sales, marketing, and DC's.
*Supply quotes for shipping requests from back office and or sales.
*Organise container shipments to the US and in exceptional cases to the Middle East,
*Manage daily goods in bookings on the ERP systems including finished goods bookings.
*Proactive approach and create necessary paperwork to replenishment orders to enable maintenance of safety stock levels even in periods of peak demand.
Skills and Qualifications
*2+ years' experience within a Resource Planning position.
*Experience within a Manufacturing / Logistics business.
*Exposure to working on SAP Systems.
*Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
*Highly organised and strong attention to detail.
