Reporting into the Financial Controller this exciting, newly created Analyst position will be providing business insight and value through management accounting and control, management reporting, financial planning (including budgeting and forecasting) and analysis for effective business decision support.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of budgets, forecasts and reforecasting
- Assisting with preparing presentations for Senior Management
- Support and drive query resolution for any issues that arise regarding the Profit and Loss
- Analysing current and past trends in key performance areas with a view to monitoring performance, highlighting trends and identifying areas of improvement
- Analytical support to projects and new initiatives
- Maintain an ethos of continuous improvement
- Support the European Financial Controller in any adhoc requests
Key Skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel Advanced
- Good working knowledge of S4Hana/SAP
- Self-motivator who can demonstrate initiative and who has good time-management skills
- Analytical with a high attention for detail
- Excellent communication skills, with both financial and non-financial staff
- One Team - you will value working as part of a team and contributing to the team's success
- Curious about the business and drivers of performance
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and when dealing with conflicting priorities
- Experience of using Cognos and Salesforce desirable
Qualifications & Experience
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified
- 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Good standard of education, to at least A level or beyond, including a minimum of GCSE English/Maths at grade C or above
- Capable of pragmatic problem solving and taking personal initiative to speedily resolve issues
