Recruitment Manager

Hood Group, based in Southend on Sea, is recruiting for a Recruitment Lead to provide an effective and professional recruitment service to fulfill the Company's talent acquisition requirements. Managing the full recruitment cycle from benchmarking, sourcing, hiring to onboarding and succession planning. You will lead the delivery of a great experience to candidates, internal customers and colleagues to ensure the team is viewed as a trusted adviser adding value to the business. You will be the key point of contact on Recruitment and pivotal in engaging and mobilising talent across the business. This position is mainly working from home but coming into the Southend Office on average once a week.

Key responsibilities:

• Distribution and supervision of recruitment activity within the team
• Proactively sourcing new channels for candidate attraction to secure the best talent available for recruitment and selection
• Monitoring and reporting on key recruitment metrics including analysis of the data to drive better people decisions
• Approaching candidates directly through social media and other job sites
• Supporting new recruits with queries and the onboarding process
• Scheduling of interviews and diary management of all interviews taking place
• Ensure recruitment activity is within the law, in keeping with the core values and keep relevant policies up to date
• Coach and guide Managers on recruitment best practice
• Suggest ideas and solutions to improve and enhance processes to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness
• Driving the business performance in relation to the company's objectives through effective talent acquisition and succession planning
• Lead succession planning of key roles
• Initiate and maintain relationships with colleges, schools and universities to give insight into workplace preparation
• Manage recruitment activity within agreed budgets including negotiation of job boards

The successful candidate must have extensive recruitment experience of sourcing, screening, assessing/interview of candidates, negotiating job board agreements and a good working knowledge of recruiting within the law.

You will be an excellent communicator who is able to manage stakeholders expectations and able to develop and maintain professional working relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure a high quality service is achieved.

CIPD qualified or part qualified applicants would be advantageous but is not essential.
