The AICS Group specialises in providing community-based rehabilitation and support to clients who suffered from a brain injury.
AICS Group is looking for a strong Male Support Worker to work with our Male client who lives in Hackney, Stoke Newington. This role provides immense job satisfaction within a busy and varied environment, working with a range of health and social care professionals.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Client: Our Client was diagnosed with left frontal glioma, as a result, he has a range of cognitive issues. Client does consume cannabis as a coping mechanism for his brain injury, he is socially vulnerable to those in the public as he is unaware of boundaries. He can become extremely challenging and often gets frustrated with the word 'NO'.
Therefore, needed a strong Male Rehabilitation Support Worker to work with this client.
Therefore, looking for a Male Support Worker who can work:
3-4 days in a week including weekends
Shift patterns are as below:
Monday to Thursday:
10 am to 4pm and 4pm to 10 pm
Sundays:
11 am to 5pm and 5pm to 10pm
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Skills:
Minimum 1 year of experience in health and social care, preferably with adults or children who have a brain injury, Basic understanding of cognitive and physical impairment, Demonstrate ability to relate respectfully to people with physical disabilities, Good verbal and written communication skills, ability to liaise with other professionals daily
Desirable Skills:
Current and clean drivers license, Experience of providing care to people living in the community
