PRSim is a property services partner for private and institutional Private Rented Sector (PRS) investors, offering an end-to-end PRS & Build to Rent data, consultancy and operational management solution.

An opportunity has arisen for a Lettings Negotiator to join the team. Working in a fast paced and demanding office environment, you will be responsible for the marketing of rental property and sourcing suitable applicants for tenancies. In this role you will look after properties that are in need of marketing, you are providing a valuation of a property, arranging marketing photos, advertising the property on all major web portals, following up interested applicants, arranging viewing appointments and negotiating details of an application for let on behalf of a landlord. You will be a crucial point of contact and liaising with landlords (clients), applicants, property managers and third parties during the marketing process to ensure property is fit for purpose to let.

Main Accountabilities

  • To build strong working relationships with clients, tenants, applicants and third parties to ensure property is fit to let
  • To provide the client the most appropriate advice in respect of maintenance and legislative requirements
  • To be legislatively aware of the laws and regulations surrounding residential lettings (training provided)
  • Liaise with tenants, maintenance contractors and other agents to resolve tenant queries and issues
  • Provide excellent customer service and continuously strive to meet and exceed performance goals and service standards
  • Effectively communicate through email, letter and verbally to clients, tenants, agents and contractors
  • To ensure the property records system (SLM) is kept fully updated at all times
  • To continually strive to meet and exceed performance goals and customer service standards by communicating improvements to the Team Leader, Client Services Manager or Operations Manager

Knowledge and Experience Required

  • Knowledge of lettings and property management legislation
  • Sales and Marketing/Administration Processes
  • Proven customer service skills
  • Self-motivation & flexibility
  • Ability to work to deadlines and communicate at a high level
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and with limited supervision
  • Strong attention to detail
  • IT literate
  • Good communicator and Team player
  • Excellent time management skills

Additional Information

  • This role may require some flexibility to cover for other roles within the Corporate Property Management Team in the event of holiday / sickness absence or other business needs.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive issues
  • Pass the Pre-Employment Screening Audit Checklist (including CRB checks)
  • Complete a Confidentiality Addendum
  • ARLA training to be provided to the right candidates
  • At times, employees will be required to undertake additional duties as required by the company
