We're on the lookout for an experienced Procurement Co-ordinator to join our well-established client based in Loughborough to start ASAP based on a 2-month temporary contract.

About the role:

As a Procurement Co-ordinator you will support the Procurement Lead by running procurement processes to efficiently manage supplies. The position will also contribute to improving procurement ops (KPIs such as BO, OTD, Inventory, POs to Go, etc.) effectiveness and supplier performance to support organisational goals and objectives:
• Support responsive turnarounds of internal departmental requests and with obtaining documentation and other data requirements from suppliers
• Working with the suppliers to ensure that delivery requirements are met in full, maintaining a log to support this and communicating any issues or concerns to colleagues in other functions (Planning, Value Stream Managers etc)
• Maintain pricing, lead time and other relevant data in the site MRP system. Be proactive in the approach to managing any discrepancies and price amendments
• Generate Practical Process Improvement Projects (PPI) and have the ability to initiate, enact and complete them in order to achieve value adding benefits for the business
• Actively participate in all EHS programs and training relevant to your role on site
• To be an ambassador for LCD and Thermo Fisher Scientific including Company values (4I's) and PPI (by actively participating in the PPI process through the submission of ideas, participation in teams and delivery of improvement solutions).
• Working closely with the quality department to resolve non-conforming material issues
• Liaise with Finance on invoice discrepancies to ensure continuity of supply. Have the ability to address invoice queries and take appropriate action to correct them
• To develop SOP's, Process Flows and Ways of Working

About You:

To be considered as a Procurement Co-ordinator you will need experience within a procurement environment and be an excellent communicator and a strong problem solver. With the ability to make prompt business decisions and to execute accordingly and confidence to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
