We currently have an opportunity available for a Pre-Development Coordinator to join our team working in Exeter. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis working 22.5 hours per week across 3 days and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of GBP20,000 per annum, pro-rata, plus benefits.

About the role of our Pre-Development Coordinator:
This role works within the Pre-Development Team who are responsible for the coordination of all our responses to pre-development enquiries, these include the reviews of planning applications within the business. The post holder undertakes the reviewing of planning applications and the delivery of point of connection responses which will include reporting and scheme progress.
Responsibilities of our Pre-Development Coordinator:
- Taking responsibility for the delivery of point of connection response in line with the business and wider requirements of Ofwat/Water Industry Act
- Representing SWW at meetings with customers, developers and other interest groups to ensure South West Water position is maintained and supported
- Reviewing and responding to Planning applications on protecting the capacity of our assets
- Supporting the discussions on Surface Water Strategy
- Delivering the projects in line with the financial rules within the business and wider requirements of the Ofwat/Water Industry Act
- Holding effective cross-functional relationships to support with the management of applications and onward delivery of schemes and work in accordance with our Service Level Agreements and target customer experience
What we are looking for in our Pre-Development Coordinator:
- Education to A-Level standard or equivalent
- 5 GCSE's or equivalent at grade C or above in Maths and English
- NVQ Level 3 in Town and Country Planning or similar
- Experience in a customer service environment
- Experience of computing with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- The ability to work within a team and liaise with staff at all levels
- An organised and strong decision-maker
