Responsibilities (company is an infrastructure/network services provider):

  • Provide expert consultancy advice and guidance by engaging with the project team. Develop and validate the requirements to deliver a clear understanding of the projects business needs, functionality and desired outcomes
  • Definition and development of market leading customer solution options and costs cases while maintaining alignment with industry standards, the company's strategy, our approved products and architecture providing consistent and high-quality solution options that can be delivered and operated by the company.
  • Senior stakeholder management in the acquisition of solution signoff through the pre-sales governance process to deliver awareness and agreement to the solution strategy and customer proposal
  • Create the customer facing solution documentation and deliver presentations to clearly articulate the solution values and benefits to the customer business, passengers and railway personnel
  • Lead virtual teams of subject matter experts (SME's) from across the company during solution option development to provide the right level of technical, implementation and operational competence into the solution proposal documentation
  • Technical engagement of approved suppliers to deliver cutting-edge customer solution options using 3rd party services and technology. This includes developing an in-depth understanding of 3rd party products and road maps negotiating the best to outcome to the project team, the company and customers.

Skills/Experience:

  • be an experienced IT and Telecommunications provider
  • be able to provide industry best practice knowledge of Customer solutions and proposal experience in a Telecoms environment (fixed line) with the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
  • provide influencing, persuasion and negotiating skills at all levels across the organisation, up to Board level
  • Excel in verbal and written communication
  • Have strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Have the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels across the organisation and be able to provide commercial facts in support of solutions and options
  • Develop and maintain a good network of contacts
  • Freely impart knowledge of telecommunications operational systems and technologies
  • Have and continue to develop experience of working with and facilitating multi-functional groups within a regulated environment
  • Bring expertise in specific technologies including, wholesale services, mobile technologies, fibre optic infrastructure, DWDM, Ethernet, MPLS VPNs and enterprise services; LAN, WLAN, WiFi, Unified Communications & Security
