JOB TITLE: Payroll Supervisor

LOCATION: Paignton

SALARY: GBP24,000 PA DOE

HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm

THE COMPANY: A rapidly expanding Southwest based leading healthcare business.

THE ROLE: We are looking for an experienced Payroll Supervisor to support a very busy Accounts Team.

The main purpose of the role is to process all aspects of payroll. Other elements of this role are to support the Financial Controller with all aspects of the accounts department such as Purchase Ledger, supplier ordering, fixed asset management, reconciliations and analysis reporting.

KEY DUTIES:

Acknowledge all emails, in a timely manner, dealing with and resolving all queries arising.
Check and process all timesheets in a timely and correct manner, via email and Zoho.
Ensure the scheduler from WIW/BookMeIn, is checked against the timesheets, and any amendments updated accordingly, in necessary systems. Attention to detail is vital.
Check, calculate and process mileage claims as required using & updating the mileage spreadsheet and AA route-planner online.
Chase outstanding timesheets.
Accurately set up all New Starters and New Homes on all relevant systems - Accuracy is essential.
Update all necessary information in SWIPE to produce accurate Gross Pay Advice's and Invoices.
Ensure the Timesheet App project is managed, maintained, and improved to ensure we achieve maximum member use of this facility to improve payroll processing.
Ensure we are up to date with HMRC portal processing all tax code changes, and notification received.
Process the payroll; including all the additional pay/deductions elements ensuring payroll deadlines are met, and all details accurate.
You are required to keep up to date with laws, regulations and rules that govern payroll.
Prepare the stats and GP figures for team meeting ensuring data is correct and produced in a timely manner.
Produce weekly reporting for sales and KPI's as required.
Ensure monthly payments are made for P32, AOD's and Unison and that all reporting is accurate and up to date.
Process the payroll journal into Sage accounts ensuring posting to the correct nominal code and departments.
Process the payroll year end and all associated elements.
Ensure accurate and timely processing of annual rate increases for carers and customers.
Ensure all weekly balance sheet reconciliations are complete for all payroll associated Control accounts and that the payroll figures in the GP and Journal, reflect the month in the payroll control accounts.
To cover and support the Management Accounts Supervisor and the Financial Controller with all aspects of other company payrolls for TUPE, Complex Care monthly and Ocean salaries as required.
Provide cover for the Credit Controller, in Producing and sending weekly sales invoices & timesheets to customers as required.
Assist and support all other areas of the Finance Department including providing cover or absent colleagues.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environmentThis is a fast-paced role which involves processing high volumes of data each week. Attention to detail, the ability to work at speed and carry out routine tasks in a disciplined manner are essential.

To be successful with your application you must have strong experience in all aspects of payroll processing and be competent with double-entry bookkeeping.
