Quantity Surveyor

My client is seeking Quantity Surveyor to join their successful Plastering company.

My client is a Plastering sub-contractor. They undertake plastering, dry lining, metal stud partitions, suspended ceilings, screeding, rendering and coving.

Their working area is within a 45 mile radius from Fareham, taking in Surrey, Berkshire, Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

We ideally are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with a minimum 5 years' experience of construction, in the plastering /drylining/plastering / rendering / joinery.

Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor
- Ensuring that works are carried out to a high quality standard and
within programme
- Managing site teams / resources across various projects to ensure works are delivered on time
- Client facing, ability to build and maintain strong relationships
- Reading and understanding the client's drawings and programme, preparing the subprogramme
to meet these requirements or identify issues
- Calling off materials from workshop for delivery to site as required
- Ensuring works are carried out safely and that our work areas are tidy
- Writing method statements and risk assessments as required
- The PM takes the project from order to final account

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in related interiors industry sector (eg. Ceilings, dry-lining, joinery, contracting etc)
- Commercial acumen
- Computer literate, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Pro-active, can-do attitude. Desire to learn and improve
- Knowledge of preparing and reading drawings and programmes of works
