Production Engineer

We are looking for Production Engineer to join a forward thinking engineering business in South Yorkshire. The ideal Production Engineer will have the ability to provide engineering support to the production lines (Lean and CI knowledge is essential) and a background in electrical and electronic manufacturing. Production Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, CI, Electrical, Electronics

* Work closely with design on any engineering changes, reviewing BOM and documenting changes
* Create picklist/build cards and update databases as appropriate
* Ensure staff cross functional alignment to manage new / changed product into production
* Plan and co-ordinate duties aligned with the NPI strategy and business milestones
* Work with the team to ensure that existing methods of manufacture are effective
* Evaluate and analyse product designs to formulate the most efficient assembly processes

* Experience working within a similar position
* Electrical or electronic manufacturing background
* Able to interpret designs/drawings
* Computer literate / ideally able to use SAP and Excel
* Conversant with tools such as PPAP, 8D, PFMEA, Value Stream Mapping, Control Plans
* Relevant electrical / electronic engineering qualification
