We are currently looking to recruit experienced SEND support staff to work with young people with a range of severe and complex special needs such as Autism, ADHD, Challenging behaviours.
The purpose of this role is to carry out community-based activities with the young person such as visiting shops, parks, accessing public transport, outdoor activities, indoor activites, etc.
This will also give parents/carers respite whilst the young person is engaged in these activites.
Hours will be during term-time and school holidays, as well as some weekends.
Successful candidates will be working with multiple young people throughout the day on either a 1:1 or 2:1 basis.
The needs of each young person will differ but you will have access to all information relating to the young person, as well as introductions to the family/care, social workers and any other service which looks after them.
The role is initially going to be on an ongoing, temporary basis but has the potential to go permanent.
All candidates must go through our vetting procedure which includes an enhanced DBS check as well as referencing and right to work checks
