Our client, a specialist accounting consultancy firm based in Solihull, is looking to take on an ACA or ACCA fully qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years' experience
Responsibilities for senior accountant will include:
The job will involve:
* You will be dealing with business owners from sole traders, limited companies and Partnerships
* Dealing with all aspects of corporation tax
* Preparing accounts and financial statements, as well as processing client records
* Working closely with Management
* Insure that CPD requirements are met
* Dealing with queries from clients
* Ability to train and assist junior accountants
* Have good knowledge of personal tax accounts for directors
* Dealing with client queries
* completing larger jobs to high standard
* Admin and other ad hoc tasks as required
* Able to deal with complexities sucha FCA assignments, property sales, grant work, investments and their fair value adjustments
* Dealing with complex tax computations and also be capable of processing R&D claims and loss offsets
* Will be competant to review VAT returns and complete management acoounts to a high standard
* Have the ability to visit clients large and small
Skills required:
* Attention to detail
* Professional and organised approach to work
* Good IT skills
* Knowledge of systems (Sage, QuickBooks or CCH)
* Working towards deadlines and to work well under pressure
* Good time management
* Self-motivated
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Works well on your own and as part of a team
