Would you like a part time role joining one of the UK's largest mental health charities to support people back into work? You will get the opportunity to be trained on IPS employment support. Which is a technique in supporting people with mental health support needs into work. The team you are working with are all really supportive, and all the management have been promoted (from doing this exact role).
The programme is funded by the NHS and you will be supporting people with secondary care mental health support needs. The individuals will be under supervision of NHS professionals, but are in a position to look for work, which is where you come in. You will be working across three sites. The base office is at Basingstoke within an NHS Trust. But clients might come from Andover or Winchester, so when things go back to normal you will be expected to go to these locations to meet your clients in a community setting such as library or community centre.
You will get lots of autonomy. Previous people working in this role have set up their own podcasts, and created employment links with professional football clubs. They want people who can bring ideas to the table to help their clients.
You will work with a caseload of around 10 clients. After an initial assessment and setting up an action plan, you will coach clients on how to write a CV, apply for a job, prepare for interviews, all whilst reaching out to employers on their behalf.
Please apply via this advert. If you would like to find out more (or have applied and not heard back), please call the office and ask for Maria who can talk you through it in more detail (number on the Red 5 People website).
They are seeking people who have previously worked as a recruitment consultant, employment advisor or careers advisor (or very similar). It might be that you have worked in HR, or support work with some knowledge or experience of careers / employment support. An understanding / passion for supporting people with mental health support needs is essential, and people with lived experience are welcome to apply.
Please note, this role is 28 hours per week. So the actual salary would be GBP17, 444 per annum (full time salary at 37 hours would be GBP23,057)
