Dynamite Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for our client based in Portsmouth that are looking for an experienced Customs Clerk to join their team during this busy time.
As Customs Clerk you will be responsible for preparing and submitting customs entries for both Import and Export. You will be required to manage bookings, customer expectations and liaise with customers throughout the shipping process.
The ideal candidate will have experience across both Import and Export in Sea and/or Road Freight and must have experience within a Customs Clearance position
Must be able to be reactive to new jobs and tasks that change daily as well as being able to multi-task.
As we are a fast-growing company that is taking on more and more projects there is room for learning and growth in the role and within the company.
My client will consider candidates experienced and no experience as they provide extensive training, you must have an interest within Freight, Logistics and Shipping
Experience & Qualities Required:
Previous experience as a Customs Clerk (3+years)
Ideally you will have experience using CargoWise or similar software, and knowledge of HMRC entry software and HMRC Tariff & Procedures would be an advantage
Analytical and numerate with a high level of speed and accuracy
Excellent communication skills
Self-motivated, reliable, trustworthy and hardworking
Willingness and ability to learn quickly new skills and working practices
