You may not have heard of our client before, but we're sure you've tried their products because they supply food for the all the major supermarkets in the UK.
????????????????????At their Spalding site, they have a team of around 540 colleagues. they produce coleslaw, potato salad, salad bar bulk products (2kg), pasta salads and couscous/grains for some of the biggest retailers in the UK.

What you'll be doing?

Due to development and growth, Our client are looking to recruit a variety of skilled positions to work in their Production department. If successful you would be streamlined into one of the following areas: Prep, Mixing, Filling or Deli. However, you may be asked to work in additional areas to suit the needs of the business.
As a Skilled Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring due diligence is followed throughout the production process. You will have a right first-time approach. As part of your role, you will be ensuring the team are working to their maximum potential as well as ensuring that the machinery is working consistently and correctly. You will be responsible for monitoring production to help attain KPIs for productivity and efficiency.
All of the roles involve working in a fast paced, chilled environment in a company that puts people at the core. The site operates 24/7 and you will be required to work on a shift basis including the requirement to work weekends.

What we're looking for?

Good level of English & Math - you will be required to follow processes and recipes, as well as ensuring the correct quantities are used in each batch.
Ideally you will have experience in a working within a similar environment, however, this isn't essential, all training will be provided.
Attention to detail.
Basic understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene.
Ability to work unsupervised.

Hours

Day shifts

12-hour Days, either Blue or Red shift, an average of 42 hours per week
Blue shift - rotating every Sunday - Tuesday / Sunday to Wednesday (so 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next week)
Red shift - rotating every Thursday - Saturday / Wednesday to Saturday (so 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next week)Salary - Our client are offering an additional summer uplift on basic pay rate until 4th September 2021 (please see details below).

Grade 4 - Production Operative (DAYS) - GBP11.91 per hour (applicable until 4th September 2021) and then will revert back to GBP10.07 per hour (GBP21,992 equivalent annual salary)

Grade 3 - Production Operative (DAYS) - GBP11.34 per hour (applicable until 4th September 2021) and then will revert back to GBP9.50 per hour (GBP20,784 equivalent annual salary)
