THIS IS A SESSIONAL ROLE WITH VARIABLE HOURS, MAINLY OVER SCHOOL HOLIDAYS "Job Summary: About 0-19 Early Help Service: All families face challenges and sometimes need support. Early Help is about providing this support as soon as possible to tackle difficulties for children, young people and families before they become more serious. We work with the whole family and the child / young person is at the centre of all we do. Working with partners, Barnet's 0-19 Service provides help and support to families, children and young people up to the age of 19 (or 25 with a disability). The Programmes and Traded team within the 0 - 19 Early Help Service is looking for highly talent and committed individuals to plan and deliver enriching activities and programmes to children, young people and their families within a range of projects such as BACE Holidays, Holiday Positive Activities and Term Time (After school) delivered in various locations borough of Barnet. For further information on our services, please visit (url removed) or call (phone number removed) We are looking for individuals who have specialism in one or more of the following areas: • Have a background/experience within the Arts such as creative Media tutors, photography, Art and Crafts, Fine Art; life drawing, watercolours, and sculpture • And/Or have a background/experience within Music Production, Radio Production, Video Editing including social media experience on a variety of platforms • And/Or have a background/experience within Dance and theatre production including set design, theatre make up, light and sound operators • And/Or have a background/experience within different Sports across all areas; We are particularly looking for experience with gymnastics and acrobatics • And/Or have a background/experience within Outdoor Educational delivery - DofE Award and Bushcraft experience In addition to the above we are looking for the following skills sets and experience from individuals who: • Have previous experience of coordinating, planning and delivering activities/course/events • Have experience facilitating activities and sessions to children and young people - ideally a broad experience of age ranges from 0-19 or under 11s and or 12s. • Have experience of devising and implementing accreditations i.e. ASDAN, Arts Award, DofE Award • Have specialised delivery and/or experience in support SEND activities including Autism/ADHD • Are highly motivated, enthusiastic, reliable and professional at all times. • Is professional, flexible, committed with the ability to use their initiative • Has excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills • Is a team player with a calm personality who genuinely enjoys working with children and families • Can work efficiently as part of a team • Has a good standard of spoken and written English and is confident using IT • Has previous experience working with children and young people within educational, out of school or in the voluntary sector to join our vibrant service. We are particularly looking for individuals who have experience of working with children and young people with learning disabilities and / or Autism and challenging behaviours
