Well this is something we don't see everyday??? We have a once in a lifetime opportunity for a Civil Engineer who would be interested in relocating abroad.
A world leading wind turbine developer are looking for a Civil Engineer from a UK Construction background to relocate to either Stockholm, Sweden or Helsinki, Finland.
If you are a Site Engineer looking to progress into management and take on a unique and diverse role then this could be what you are looking for
The role will include but not be limited to,
Assisting the tendering and sales department in the review of proposed wind farm layouts
Attending customer meetings pre & post contract award to discuss the civil specification requirements for the construction of civil infrastructure, roads, hardstands, foundations etc.
Organising and running workshops for customer civil contractor to ensure the specification is understood and applied to the construction of the wind farm infrastructure
Design reviews for foundations & the compiling of design information for foundation construction to allow the CE certification to be issued
Regular site visit to windfarms under construction to review progress and quality of works and advise' the civil contractor on requirements.
Review of hardstanding layout to ensure compatibility with the method of turbine build and type of crane allocated for the project
Site visits to inspect and sign off civil infrastructure prior to the delivery of turbines.
Compilation and review of Quality plans
To be suitable for this position:
Qualified Civil Engineer (BSc or HND/C in Civil Engineering)
Have worked as a Site Engineer and ready to progress into Section Engineer/Sub-Agent level
You must have a well rounded and sound knowledge of civil engineering
Windfarm experience would be useful but not essential for the role
Need to have good communication & IT skills especially for writing reports and responding to technical queries.
