We are working with a council in The West Midlands who are seeking a Housing and Homelessness Strategy and Commissioning Lead on an initial 3-month contract.
The role is a remote working position, however there maybe times when you will need to go to office for collabration purposes.
The hourly / date rate is dependent on the experience of of the candidate.
Job Objectives
To manager the relationship and contract between the Council and Community Housing Association.
?? To ensure that they work with the council to deliver its strategic objectives
?? To manage all housing related contracts held by the council and update The Head of Stronger Communities on performance against these contracts
?? Develop specifications for all housing related contracted services
?? To lead the development and oversee the implementation of Housing polices and feed into the Councils Strategic Housing Framework
?? To lead the development of housing polices and to oversee there implementation, including the need to ensure compliance with the relevant legislation
?? To lead the development of Homelessness Strategy and to oversee its implementation, including the need to ensure compliance with Homelessness Legislation, e.g. the Homelessness Reduction Act and the management of contracted service providers
?? To lead, co-ordinate, support and develop partnership work relating to housing and homelessness advice Including attendance at partnership meetings, scrutiny and decision sessions
