Manchester Metropolitan University are working with Breath Technologies Ltd and are looking for a Strategic Software Services Project Lead (KTP Associate) to join their team on an 18 month Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP). This role requires a broad base of business knowledge and would be suitable for a recent MBA graduate or similar masters level business qualification or someone with demonstrable equivalent business experience / acumen.

Formed in 2009, Breathe Technologies Ltd provide best in class warehouse automation and software solutions for businesses of all sizes. Reporting to the Managing Director and working with cross-functional internal and external project teams you will lead and embed the strategic changes required to achieve transformative scaling of business growth.

As a Strategic Software Services Project Lead (KTP Associate) your responsibilities will include:

* Undertaking a market-led strategic change project to create and develop the software services division of a leading intralogistics automation specialist company.

* Working with a highly experienced academic team to identify, transfer and embed the marketing, analytical and operational skills and frameworks required to drive and scale software automation product and sales development.

The successful Strategic Software Services Project Lead (KTP Associate) will have the following skills and experience:

* First degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or similarly applied technologies / operations disciplines;

* A passion and understanding of the broader issues involved in strategically investing in and growing a software automation business;

* Experience of undertaking a market-led strategic change project, or the aptitude to do so

* Market research and market testing in relation to new value propositions and identification of target markets;

* Identification of KPIs and milestones, and managing performance against those targets;

* IT literate and a technical mindset, with an undergraduate degree and business qualification or experience as described above;

* Well organized, self-starting, energetic, reliable and committed and someone who can communicate effectively with all stakeholders;

* Motivation for infrequent travel within the UK.

In return you will receive a salary of Circa GBP35,000 pa depending on experience plus holidays and pension.

* Potential opportunity to register on a higher degree (at a reduced or no cost) - The supervisors would be particularly interested in supervising the Associate to a doctoral degree (PhD or DBA);

* Opportunity of a permanent position with the company; 70% of host companies make a permanent job offer to their Associate at the end of the project. Breathe Technologies see the Associate potentially taking on a senior role in the organisation as it grows and expands.
