BI Developer

The role of the BI Developer is to provide development, technical analysis, testing and warranty support to a wide range of business initiatives, including our own development projects using the very latest technologies and agile development practices.
Using your expertise in data management, you'll be required to assist with the efficient delivery of business intelligence solutions, initially assisting in the build of a new Data Warehouse, before enhancing existing ETL solutions.
The role will include:
Designing, building and maintaining analytic solutions (dashboards) using PowerBI and other BI tools
Developing and maintaining ETL solutions with SQL and SSIS
Determining data requirements by liaising and collaborating with stakeholders, business analysts, subject matter experts, and other team members
Producing high quality data warehouse solutions using appropriate technologies

Additional Information
All applications require the right to work in the UK; we don't currently hold a license to provide work sponsorship. After initial training and onboarding, there is the potential for this role to be split between office and home working (at least 2 days per week would be needed in the office).
Essential Skills
As an IT professional with a proven track record of BI development in an agile environment, you'll have 3-4 years' experience of ETL and data warehousing development (SSIS, T-SQL), in addition to practical experience with a business analytics tool (ideally PowerBI).
You'll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and will consider yourself to be an excellent problem solver with great communication and interpersonal skills - able to build strong and productive relationships with ease.
Desirable Skills
Any experience with either C# or Python will be a bonus, as will a background of working within financial services.
