Are you an experienced chef looking for the next step in your career? We're looking for a Sous Chef to support our kitchen Head Chef and kitchen team.
You will share our passion for great food and support our Head Chef with the running of the kitchen. You will be a role model for the kitchen team and support with the team's development.
WHAT YOU'LL BE GETTING UP TO
- Leading the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef and organising others under your supervision
- Placing orders using our stock systems to ensure correct stock levels are maintained
- Controlling the kitchen from a financial and quality driven perspective
- Assisting the Head Chef with the scheduling, development and recruiting of staff
- Keeping in touch with current food trends and having an input with suggestions for the menu
KEY SKILLS
- Awareness of customer needs
- Ability to effectively lead a team
- Demonstrating strong company and menu knowledge
SALARY
This role has a salary of GBP25000, and all staff receive a share of tronc (which is also paid whilst on annual leave). The advertised pay is a combination of salary and tronc based on yearly average per hour on 45 hours per week.
