PART-TIME ASSISTANT BAKER
About the job
The Assistant Baker will be working with the Head Baker to produce craft breads and savoury goods, and cakes for resale in the Bembridge Bakery retail unit during the day. The bakery prides itself on fresh bakery products, including sour doughs and speciality breads and savouries. Production will spread over six nights (excluding Sundays); however, the Assistant Baker will be required to commit to two-to-three-night shifts per week of approximately 7/8 hours per shift. The days and times to be negotiated. This is a permanent job. The Assistant Baker (together with the Head Baker) will be responsible for ensuring that cleanliness and order is maintained within the bakery.
Requirements
The applicant will be required to have:
?? Experience in bread and cake production, at least 2 years' experience of working in a bakery or kitchen environment is preferable but will consider less according to ability;
?? Able to manage their own workload;
?? Will be expected to have at least level 1 Food and Hygiene Certificate.

The company owns a number of businesses around the UK including a 70-bedroom hotel and the Bembridge Bakery on the Isle of Wight. The bakery itself is unique and supplies the local village of Bembridge and a number of external outlets with daily products alongside a busy tearoom and caf??, with garden.
The Assistant Baker would be entitled to staff discount in our other company locations
