Darcy Associates are recruiting for a Process Engineer for our client based in Torquay, a world-leader in their chosen fields.
In this role you will be assisting the operations team to improve the manufacturing of product by developing the most optimum processes to exceed customer requirements.
You will also support NPI projects.
In the role of Process Engineer, you will:
??Scope and design processes, implement production equipment, cost control and process risk assessments.
??Provide engineering expertise to deliver projects and provide production support to ensure the safe and efficient operation of processes.
??Provide technical support and expertise of manufacturing processes in order to improve performance with regard to quality, output, productivity and cost.
??Constantly review and investigate industry technology improvements and suggest best practice manufacturing and processes where applicable.
??Assist in establishing manufacturing standards, monitoring performance and analysing deviations across the manufacturing facility.
??Support the training of new and existing processes, raising training and process corrective actions with manufacturing when required.
??To assist with the development of and implementation of quality improvements, including the updating and maintenance of FMEA's, process flows, process control, scrap reduction.
To be successful in your application for the role of Process Engineer, you will:
??Possess Industry experience as a Process Engineer, preferably in Electronics, Optics, or assembly manufacture.
??Have a good understanding of LEAN manufacturing processes and tools/techniques for example VSM's / 6S
??Six Sigma experience and Lean principles in volume manufacturing preferred.
??Hold a HNC / HND in Engineering with an Engineering degree being preferred.
??Have 5 years experience
