COOK / CHEF - WEEKENDS
PAY RATE GBP12.00 to GBP12.50 PER HOUR (doe)
SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS
LOCATION, STAINES UPON THAMES
PERMANENT POSITION- 35 TO 40 HOURS PER WEEK
THE IDEAL APPLICANT WILL HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE OF WORKING AS A COOK/CHEF IN A CARE HOME, HOSPITAL, NURSERY OR A SCHOOL ENVIRNOMENT
About the care home:
A beautiful Care Home, with a purpose- built Kitchen, are seeking an experienced Cook/Chef for weekends, to join them in Staines.
Main responsibilities of a Cook / Chef
To provide Homemade cooking with fresh vegetables cooked every day, plus breakfast and suppers to a high standard.
Experienced in Stock Control, Budget Monitoring & Environmental Health Requirements
Ability to manage the small catering team
Good knowledge of Food Hygiene, Health & Safety and Infection Control
Ability to offer excellent cuisine including s special dietary requirements.
Ability to assist to plan, design and update menus for the home, speaking with the residents & Their families to create the menus.
Ability to adhere to the homes policies and procedures and make sure the team are as well.
Ensuring the Kitchen is kept in good working order at all times - ensuring maintenance of health, hygiene and safety within the kitchen environment.
Skills/Qualifications/Requirements for Cook /Chef:
1. Previous experience in a care home or hospital or school is desirable.
2. Ideally will have an up to date Food Hygiene Certificate
3. COSHH
